Terms of Use

These terms apply when you create, join, or receive emails from a Dearest circle.

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Using Dearest

Dearest is an email-first product for private photo-and-note circles. Admins create circles, invite members, and manage settings. Members participate by email.

You are responsible for using Dearest respectfully and for inviting people who are appropriate for your circle.

Circle content

  • Only send photos, notes, and names that you have the right to share.
  • Do not use Dearest for harassment, spam, illegal content, or content that violates someone else's privacy.
  • Circle content belongs to the people who send it. By sending it to Dearest, you allow Dearest to process and send it as part of the circle experience.

Opt-outs and deletion

Members can update a current weekly post by sending another one, request to delete a current weekly post, or request to leave a circle or stop Dearest emails by replying with the relevant command. Dearest confirms before changing anything destructive. Admins can add or remove members, rename a circle, change its timezone, or delete it.

If a circle is deleted, Dearest removes its active circle data. Some technical logs or backups may remain for a limited time.

Pricing and product status

Dearest is free. No credit card is required to create a circle.

Dearest is still early, so features may change, break, pause, or be discontinued. We will try to avoid surprises, especially around email delivery and data handling.

No guarantees

Dearest is provided as-is. We work to make it reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect email delivery, or that every email client will display every digest the same way.
